Immaculate Heart Central Intermediate is now three-quarters of its way to a new playground.
Yesterday, IHC won a $15,000 Lets Play! grant from Kaboom! and the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, allowing the school to begin building a playground at the intermediate school, Christopher E. Hornbarger, IHC executive system administrator, said in a news release Wednesday.
This is the second batch of funds raised for the playground. Earlier this month, approximately $30,000 was raised in a raffle sponsored by Davidson Auto Group. Danny Graves, Mannsville, received a $15,000 check for having his name drawn on Tuesday.
The IHC Primary playground will be updated through a Ronald McDonald House grant.
