It's New York vs. Boston.

Pats vs. Giants.

Brady vs. Manning.

Cuomo vs. Patrick.

And bagels vs. clam chowder.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick have put their money where their mouths are, betting some local delicacies on Super Bowl 46 between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

As a kid from Somerville (and not the one in St. Lawrence County), my allegiances on the matter are clear. I hope that a Massachusetts food bank gets the following New York items after the Pats reign victorious:

46 cases of one of the State’s newest and hottest exports- New York made Greek yogurt

46 dozen bagels from Ess-a-Bagel in Manhattan

46 cheesecakes from Junior's in Brooklyn

But if you see me despondently walking around Watertown on Monday — or perhaps I'll take the day off and lock myself in my apartment — that means that the Food Bank Association of NYS will have received the following items:

46 Centerville Pies from “The Pie Ladies” in Centerville

Legal Sea Foods clam chowder

46 cases of Food Should Taste Good chips in Needham Heights.

Now, not only am I a Patriots fan, I'd also much rather have Legal Sea foods clam chowder than bagels or yogurt or cheesecake.

As a side bet, I've also told a local political figure that I would go to Utica and eat a tomato pie, which, I am still assuming, is just another way of saying "pizza," if the Giants win.
