Two Lowville women were arrested at 6 p.m. Monday by state police on charges of third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

State police said Ashley E. Joslyn, 25, and Casey M. Lehman, 30, got into a fist fight during an argument on Jan. 4 at Ms. Lehman’s Crestview Drive home.

Ms. Joslyn suffered cuts to her face and head, a cut finger and injured ankle, while Ms. Lehman ended up with a broken nose, cuts to her face and other injuries, state police said. The fight occurred in front of a 9-year-old child after Ms. Joslyn stayed the night at the other woman’s home, police said.

Both women were given appearance tickets for town of Watson court for Jan. 24.
