Someone's Google alerts must have been buzzing this weekend, but it was much ado about old news.

Just about every local blog wrote about the Washington Post's quick profile of Republican Matt Doheny, who is taking on Democratic Rep. Bill Owens in November (provided he wins the Republican primary).

But the newest news on there is from November 2010.

It's a (very) old profile, in fact. It lists him as a former candidate. Of course, Mr. Doheny is a current candidate.

Some of the information needs to be updated, and some will need to be updated soon. For example, Mr. Doheny no longer works at Fintech Advisory. He owns North Country Capital, an investment firm for which Mr. Doheny calls all the shots. It's based out of his Washington Street office.

Also, under "Spouse," at some point this summer that'll need to change, too. Mr. Doheny is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend.
