Lt. Gov. Robert J. Duffy will attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Beaver Meadow Apartments at 11 a.m. Thursday near Target off Route 3. The project includes 296 units that will receive $2.4 million in tax credits for low-and-moderate-income units through the state Division of Housing and Community Renewal.
The state announced recently that the regions attempt to build 1,035 units for returning soldiers to Fort Drum will be buoyed by $4 million from the state. The Community Rental Housing Program has already collected $7 million to assist developers in closing financing gaps for their projects.
