WINTER PARK, Fla. — Former South Jefferson standout Linsey Niles received Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week honors for her performance for the Eckerd College women’s basketball program last week.

Niles, a senior forward, was selected after helping the Tritons extend their winning streak to five straight with a 71-55 victory over Nova Southeastern University. Niles scored 14 points and recorded a career-high 15 rebounds. She tied for the team lead with five assists.

The 14 points was a season high and the third straight game in which she scored in double figures for the NCAA Division II school, which is 6-1 overall.
