Clarkson won its third straight home game Friday, knocking off American International 5-2 before 2,361 fans in a nonconference game at Cheel Arena.
The Golden Knights (3-1-1 overall) faced some adversity as they blew a 2-0 lead in the third period.
American International (0-4) scored goals on shots from Jon Puskar (1 minute, 8 seconds) and Steve Mele (8:16) to tie the game.
But Clarkson responded with a power-play goal from sophomore Ben Sexton at 11:33 to take the lead for good.
