Clarkson completed a weekend sweep of Sacred Heart with a 5-2 victory before 2,656 fans at Cheel Arena Saturday night.

Just like Friday's game, Clarkson scored three goals in the first period.

Sophomore Ben Sexton opened the scoring with a power-play goal just 2 minutes, 26 seconds into the game:

But unlike Friday's contest, Sacred Heart answered Clarkson's goals with two of its own to cut the lead to 3-2 late in the first period. Neil Fachini scored the first goal at 11:21 and Matt Gingera scored a shorthanded goal at 14:59.

Sacred Heart's Chad Barthelmess was given a five-minute major for a contact to the head penalty at 5:18 of the second period and Clarkson took advantage with this power-play goal from Julien Cayer at 7:56:

Oakley scored his second power-play goal of the game at 14:23 of the third period and his fourth goal of the weekend.

Through the first four games of the season Clarkson has scored on 30.4 percent of its power plays (7 for 23) and has killed 88.9 percent of its penalties (24 of 27).
