The season starts this weekend for five ECAC Hockey teams, at least with exhibition games.

Colgate and Rensselaer will play games Saturday, with the Raiders hosting Carleton at 3:30 p.m. and RPI hosting Acadia at 7 p.m.

Clarkson starts its season with a 5 p.m. home game against the University of Ottawa on Sunday. Acadia will face Quinnipiac at 4 p.m. and Carleton will play St. Lawrence University at 4 p.m.

There is also one televised college hockey game this weekend. North Dakota's exhibition game against Regina will be televised on Fox College Sports Central (channel 236 in the north country) at 8 p.m. Saturday.

All-Conference Team

Yesterday the coaches preseason poll was listed. Here is the preseason All-Conference team, as selected by the coaches:

Goalie - James Mello (Dartmouth).

Forwards - Brian O'Neill (Yale), Andrew Miller (Yale), Jack MacClellan (Brown).

Defense - Danny Biega (Harvard), Nick Bailen (RPI).
