The Golden Knights play their first game of the season on Oct. 2 against the University of Ottawa in an exhibition contest and open for real in Alaska on Oct. 8.

Clarkson is preparing for its first season under head coach Casey Jones by conducting its preseason workouts. The first formal practice of the year has not taken place yet.

Things are all business for the Golden Knights, who are aiming for the program's first winning season since the 2007-08 squad won the ECAC Hockey regular-season title and reached the NCAA quarterfinals.
