ALBANY - Both the Clarkson and St. Lawrence University women's hockey teams were picked to finish one place better than they did a year ago by the league's coaches.
Clarkson finished in sixth place last year with a 10-8-4 conference record and was chosen to finish fifth this season. St. Lawrence University finished in seventh last year with an 11-11 record and was picked to finish in sixth place.
Cornell, which went 20-1-1 a year ago in conference play, received 11 of the 12 first-place votes by the league's coaches. Harvard was picked to finish in second and Quinnipiac was picked to finish in third.
