From the piece:
Key Statistics: Carey had a tremendous freshman year with 23 goals, 17 assists and 40 points. He led St. Lawrence in scoring, the first freshman to achieve that since 1982. He was a six-time recipient of ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week honors.
What He Does: Carey is one of those guys who has a knack for putting the puck in the back of the net, and he doesn't shy away from that part of his game. When he gets an opportunity, he's looking to fire the puck toward goal. He was a goal-scorer in junior hockey and said the difference between junior and college is that you get hit after you shoot – there's less time and space.
