Potsdam native Ryan Williams, who recently graduated from the University of Rochester, has been named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar Team in NCAA Division III by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The GCAA honor athletes from all three NCAA Divisions as well as the NAIA.

To make the team athletes have to have played at least two full seasons of college golf, participating in at least 70 percent of the matches, and had to have a stroke average below 79.0 as well as a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 on a 4.00 scale.

Williams, who was a Financial Economics major, averaged 78.9 on the golf course and made the Liberty League's All-Academic team. He was also a first-team All-Liberty League golfer.
