OK, here's the very first draft of candidates that are up for election in the "local" November races.

We're starting out simple. Jefferson County Legislature, treasurer and district attorney. Soon, we'll sort of have some bells and whistles on this — profiles, polling places, etc — and we'll also include Lewis and St. Lawrence county races.

I've fact-checked this list best I could, but if you're reading this and you know something that I don't about a candidate, don't just mutter under your breath! Email me at bamaral@wdt.net

What we see here are four races that are interesting: one contested race and three open seats, including one upcoming GOP primary.

Here are the current legislators, their party, and whether they are running for re-election. Seats that are contested or open in November have been highlighted in bold.
