A bill by state Sen. Joe Griffo to legalize mixed martial arts has passed the state Senate, though more than a dozen lawmakers voted against it.

The bill now heads to the Assembly, where it died last year after passing the Senate.

As we've written before, Mr. Griffo says the bill will generate millions in revenue and is not, as opponents to the sport charge, barbaric or dangerous.
