About Clarkson:The Golden Knights open February after a rough January which saw the team go 2-6. Clarkson played six of those games against teams ranked in the top 20 and went 1-5 in those games. Clarkson was swept at home last weekend, losing 3-2 to Quinnipiac and falling 4-3 to Princeton in overtime. The Golden Knights are missing four key players tonight: Mark Borowiecki (ankle), Nik Pokulok (knee), Ben Sexton (arm) and Scott Freeman (illness).
About Cornell: Cornell got off to a strange start this season, with a 4-8-1 overall record after 13 games. Since that point the Big Red has turned around a bit and gone 5-1-2 in its last eight games. Like Clarkson, Cornell has struggled at home this year. The Big Red are 4-6-1 in Lynah Rink. Cornell had only lost seven games at home in the last three seasons combined. The Big Red are riding a three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1) heading into tonight's game.
Who to Watch
Clarkson: Corey Tamblyn is the only Golden Knight with some success against the Big Red. He has two goals and one assist in three career games. Louke Oakley, Lauri Tuohimaa and Bryan Rufenach each have two assists. Paul Karpowich is 0-4-1 with a 3.56 goals-against average and an .875 save percentage.
Cornell:The Big Red's leading scorer is Greg Miller, who has two goals and 16 assists. He also leads the team with a plus-11 rating. Joe Devin and Tyler Roeszler each have eight goals. Devin has seven assists and Roeszler has five. Nick D'Agostino has six goals and seven assists. The Big Red have alternated goalies. Mike Garman is 4-5-1 with a 2.30 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage and Andy Iles is 5-4-2 with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.
