CANTON — Tupper Lake’s Wendy Pavlus, the two-time defending NCAA Division III cross-country champion, is slated to compete in the U.S. Cross Country Championships on Saturday in San Diego.
Pavlus will compete among some of the best runners in the nation, including defending U.S. champion Shalene Flanagan, and world bronze medalist Kara Goucher. Pavlus is one of six collegiate runners in the event and the only Division III competitor.
The women’s 8-kilometer event is scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m. (EST).
