Syracuse's meeting against Villanova sold out

SYRACUSE — Syracuse University announced Wednesday that its men's basketball team's game against Villanova on Feb. 27 is officially sold out.

SU said that 34,616 tickets have been sold and that figure would represent the largest on-campus crowd at a college basketball game, breaking the record set by a previous Syracuse-Villanova game at the Carrier Dome when 33,633 fans watched on March 5, 2006.

SU is currently ranked third in the Associated Press poll and Villanova is No. 2.
