Brian VanMarter

Brian Henry VanMarter, age 47, of Decatur Street in Corning, NY, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at home.

Brian was born in Syracuse, NY, on June 28, 1962, to Willis VanMarter and Nancy Bouchard. He was a 1981 graduate of Corning East High School. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer, and he loved sports. Brian could always make people laugh because he was a people person. He worked mostly in construction and food service.

He is survived by his father, Willis VanMarter of Corning; his mother, Nancy Bouchard of East Syracuse; two sisters, Christy (Michael) Tyrrell of Pulaski and Lisa Curtin of Syracuse; one brother, Jason (Jamie) VanDodick of Pleasant Valley, NY; three nieces and four nephews; several aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be Saturday, November 21st from 1 until 2 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning, where Memorial Services will follow at 2 :00 PM.
