Barlow's goal vaults Pirates to Class D final

POTSDAM — Dylan Barlow scored on a pass from Server Mustafaev four minutes into overtime to give No. 2 Harrisville a 1-0 win over No. 3 Lisbon in a Section 10 Class D boys soccer semifinal Friday at Potsdam High School.

The Pirates (15-1-2) will face No. 4 Parishville-Hopkinton in the championship game at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6 at Potsdam High School.

Colin Baker finished with 13 saves for Harrisville, and Zach Premo stopped six shots for Lisbon (13-3-2).

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 1, CHATEAUGAY 0

Zach Newton scored in the 43rd minute, with Zach Votra assisting, to lead the Panthers past top-seeded Chateaugay (12-2-3) in the other semifinal at Potsdam High School. Dennis Tebo made 10 saves for the Panthers (10-4-3).

GIRLS SOCCER

LOWVILLE 4, SOUTH JEFFERSON 1

Taylor Haenlin started the scoring with a goal in the sixth minute and assisted two other goals as the No. 2 Red Raiders secured the Section 3 Class B quarterfinal victory over the No. 10 Spartans at Lowville.

Olivia Hanno, Sarah Hanno and Nicole Dittl also scored for Lowville (14-2-1).

Tapulei Vaveao recorded a first-half goal for South Jefferson (9-7-2).

SWIMMING

MASSENA 59, ST. LAWRENCE 35

Nicole Orlando (200 individual medley), Aubrey Czajkowski (50 free) and Mary-Claire Gabri (100 backstroke) each won an individual event to lead the Red Raiders (6-5-1) past St. Lawrence Central in a Northern Athletic Conference meet in Brasher Falls.

Jenna Evans (200 and 500 freestyles) and Anna Brothers (100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke) each won twice for the Larries (2-10).

GOUVERNEUR 88, EDWARDS-KNOX 70

Kara Ritchie won the 100 and 50 freestyles to send Gouverneur (2-7) past the Cougars in Russell. Chelsea Cutway won the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke for Edwards-Knox (0-11).

MALONE 59, SALMON RIVER 35

Macy Sylvester won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke to lead the Huskies (8-3) past Salmon River in Fort Covington. Sierra Delormier led the Shamrocks (4-6) with wins in the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle.
