CARTHAGE — Megan L. Keddy, Carthage, daughter of Linda and Mark Keddy, Carthage, was married to John R. Jarosz Jr., New York Mills, son of John and Jean Jarosz, Sauquoit, at 3 p.m. Aug. 21 at St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Maroun officiating.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown featured a sweetheart neckline and she carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Trisha Covey, Carthage, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Hope Horton, Carthage, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kourtney Cabella, Poughkeepsie, Megan Weaver, Centreville, Va., and Teresa Gallett, Binghamton, all friends of the bride, Amy Jarosz, Syracuse, sister of the groom, and Kristine Jarosz, Syracuse, sister-in-law of the groom.
Adam Jarosz, Syracuse, and Andrew Jarosz, Louisiana, both brothers of the groom, were best men. Groomsmen were Ryan Keddy, Carthage, brother of the bride, Mitch Morse, Syracuse, Jason Jordan, Sauquoit, and Ryan Dick, Albany, all friends of the groom, and Phil Keida, Whitesboro, cousin of the groom.
A reception was held at the Commons, Fort Drum. The couple traveled to Lake Placid and plan to travel to the Caribbean in April for their wedding trip.
Mrs. Jarosz graduated as salutatorian in 2001 from Carthage Central School and graduated in 2005 from LeMoyne College, Syracuse, with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and special education. She is a 2007 graduate of SUNY Potsdam, where she received a master's degree in education as a literary specialist. She is a reading specialist at New York Mills Elementary School.
Mr. Jarosz is a 1998 graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School and a 2002 graduate of St. Lawrence University, Canton, where he received a bachelor's degree in biology. He received a doctorate from Palmer Chiropractic College, Davenport, Iowa, and owns and operates Jarosz Chiropractic with offices in Utica and Rome. Mr. Jarosz is district 13 president of the New York Chiropractic Council and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
The couple resides in New Hartford.
