Mr. & Mrs. C. Halladay -- 50 years

LOWVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Halladay celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 17 with a dinner and gathering for family and friends at the Glenfield Fire Hall.

Mr. Halladay, son of the late Donald Halladay and the late Dorothy Hulbert, married Joyce Stevens, daughter of Eleanor Hoskins, Turin, and the late Lyle Stevens, Oct. 17, 1959, at the Watson Methodist Church.

Mr. Halladay was employed by Payne-Jones, Lowville, and Latex Paper Mill, Beaver Falls, until retiring in 2000. He is a lifetime member of the Lowville Fire Department and the Lowville Elks Club.

Mrs. Halladay was employed at Paul's Restaurant, the New York Telephone Company, Beaverite Products Inc., Beaver Falls, Ames department store and the Medicine Shoppe until retiring in 2008. She is a member of the Lowville Fire Department Auxiliary.

They have two daughters and two sons-in-law, Elaine and David Martin and Sherry and Dean Merry, two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Halladay and Kevin and Jackie Halladay, and seven grandchildren.
