Turin home injured, jailed
TURIN — A Glenfield man who allegedly wore out his welcome at about 3 a.m. Saturday at a town of Turin residence was injured, then jailed.
Lewis County sheriff's deputies said Thomas R. Sweredoski, 27, of 6024 Main St., who was at 5111 Route 26 with the owners' daughter, allegedly became irate and flipped over the dining room table, causing $150 in damage to a chair.
He was then escorted by residents from the home, and, once outside, began to kick the door in an attempt to get back inside, deputies said.
The owner's son, whom deputies did not identify, allegedly punched through the glass door and hit Mr. Sweredoski in the face.
He was taken by Turin ambulance to Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville, for treatment, then arrested on charges of second-degree trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief, arraigned in Turin Town Court and committed to Lewis County jail, Lowville, on $2,000 bail.
Watertown man cited
with hitting 8-year-old
Watertown police on Saturday charged Christopher T. Lee, 23, of 1815 Olmsted Drive, Apt. 207D, with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Mr. Lee struck an 8-year-old boy five times on the buttocks, "causing redness, bruising and substantial pain," according to the police report. He is to answer the charges in City Court.
Two teenagers charged
with stealing sunglasses
Jefferson County sheriff's deputies on Friday charged two teens with stealing sunglasses from the Sears store at Salmon Run Mall.
Charged with petit larceny were Kristopher T. Shirley, 17, of 4172 County Route 22, Lacona, and Jamieson P. Crast, 19, of 16366 County Route 90, Mannsville. They are to appear in Watertown Town Court.
City man accused of lying
to police about runaway
Watertown police on Saturday charged Zachary M. Greenwood, 22, of 334 Clay St., upper apartment, with second-degree obstructing governmental justice.
Police said Mr. Greenwood told them that a juvenile girl listed as missing was not in his apartment, but she was found hiding in the bathroom. He is to appear in City Court.
Man cited with fighting
outside bar in Watertown
Watertown police at about 2 a.m. Saturday charged Justin R. Godin, 22, of 379 Virginia Smith Drive, Calcium, with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting in Poor Richard's bar, 1309 State St., and outside the establishment.
He is to appear in City Court.
Watertown man accused
of smashing a microwave
Watertown police on Saturday charged Travis C. Johnson, 19, of 1620 Huntington St., Apt. S5, with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Mr. Johnson on June 17 allegedly smashed a $52.99 microwave oven owned by Darien M. Larmon, Watertown, on a concrete floor at 1620 Huntington St. He is to appear in City Court.
Lowville man charged
after domestic incident
LOWVILLE — Village police on Sunday charged Scott M. Mushtare, 32, Lowville, with second-degree harassment.
Mr. Mushtare allegedly threatened bodily harm to a woman, whom police did not identify, during a domestic dispute. He is to appear in Village Court.
City teenager charged
with disorderly conduct
Watertown police at 1:47 a.m. Sunday charged Calee S. Delles, 17, of 126 Winslow St., Apt. 4, with disorderly conduct.
Ms. Delles allegedly screamed loudly in the street outside her apartment building, causing one neighbor to turn on the lights and another to come outside. She is to appear in City Court.
Conduct charge lodged
Watertown police at 2:10 a.m. Sunday charged Michael E. Vaughan, 21, of 10136 4th Armor Division Drive, Fort Drum, with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting outside 1309 State St. He is to appear in City Court.
Mischief charge lodged
HAMMOND — Gregory M. Lantier, 25, of Hammond, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree menacing and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to Ogdensburg state police. Mr. Lantier was involved in a fight Friday night with another man, whose name was not released.
