Pair accused of stealing

firewood in Gouverneur

ROSSIE — Two Gouverneur men were accused of stealing firewood last month.

Eric W. Walker, 27, and Adam M. Butler, 21, were each charged Thursday with petit larceny, state police said. Both were issued appearance tickets for Town Court.

Woman cited with larceny

over bad checks for $3,000

Watertown police on Friday charged Sierra B. Wetmore, 18, of 5434 Park Place, Apt. 3, Lowville, with making nearly $3,000 in purchases in April using a closed checking account.

Ms. Wetmore was charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, answerable in City Court.

On April 30, she allegedly wrote a bad check for $1,111.68 for tires, rims and installation at Cheney Tire, 839 State St., and one for $1,702.45 for a 50-inch plasma television set at Rent-A-Zone, 101 Public Square.

Ms. Wetmore is to answer the charges in City Court.

Police charge two men

with disorderly conduct

Watertown police at 1:57 a.m. Saturday charged two men with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting in the 200 block of Factory St.

Charged were Jeremy L. Dranschak, 22, Mattydale, and Joshua D. Prance, 22, of 17557 County Route 125, Chaumont.

Mr. Dranschak was additionally charged with second-degree harassment for allegedly hitting Officer Joseph A. Gianquinto in the jaw while Mr. Gianquinto was attempting to break up the fight.

Mr. Dranschak and Mr. Prance are to appear in City Court.

City resident faces counts

of assault, pot possession

Watertown police on Friday at 11:30 p.m. charged Russell H. Pierce, 45, of 308 S. Pleasant St., with third-degree assault and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Mr. Pierce allegedly hit Nicholas Polhamusin, Watertown, in the right eye, knocking him unconscious, at 200 S. Pleasant St. Mr. Polhamusin was taken to Samaritan Medical Center for treatment.

Police said Mr. Pierce had a small baggie of marijuana in his pants pocket at the time of his arrest.

He is to answer the charges in City Court.

washing machine, dryer

Watertown police on Friday charged Nikkii G. Courtland, 33, of 302 N. Indiana Ave., Apt. B, with petit larceny.

Ms. Courtland on June 1 allegedly stole a washer and dryer belonging to Aaron A. Netto, Watertown, from 202 N. Indiana Ave. He is to appear in City Court.

Man accused of charging

items without permission

LOWVILLE — Village police on Friday charged Randy R. Grimmer Jr., 26, with petit larceny.

Mr. Grimmer since March allegedly has charged $440.97 worth of merchandise at Lowville Farmers' Co-op, Shady Avenue, to the account of North Country Properties without permission. He is to appear in Village Court.

City police charge man

with stealing cigarettes

Watertown police on Saturday charged Christopher M. Moore, 18, of 24480 Route 12, Apt. 122, Watertown, with petit larceny.

Mr. Moore on Wednesday allegedly took a $21 carton of cigarettes belonging to Judy A. Charneskie from 1019 State St. He is to appear in City Court.

Police say man fired rifle

close to neighbor's house

BROWNVILLE — State police on Friday afternoon charged Bruce A. Lee, 50, Route 12E, with illegal discharge of a weapon.

Mr. Lee allegedly shot a rifle four times while about 200 feet from his neighbor's residence. The weapon was not fired in the direction of any houses, police said.

Mr. Lee is to appear in Town Court.

Adams Center man cited

with shoplifting at mall

An Adams Center man was accused late Thursday afternoon of shoplifting at Burlington Coat Factory, Salmon Run Mall.

Melza R. White, 21, is charged with petit larceny in an alleged $41.49 property theft, and is ordered to appear in town of Watertown Court.

Police say city woman

was disorderly at hospital

Watertown police at 4:38 a.m. Saturday charged Lisa M. Lyons, 47, of 127 High St., upper apartment, with disorderly conduct in the emergency room at Samaritan Medical Center, 830 Washington St.

Ms. Lyons allegedly yelled obscenities and waved her arms in a threatening manner. She is to appear in City Court.

LaFargeville resident

cited with stealing lumber

ADAMS — State police on Friday charged Terry L. Alguire, 38, LaFargeville, with petit larceny.

Mr. Alguire on June 9 allegedly stole $424 worth of lumber and other supplies from O.D. Greene Lumber, 10799 Route 11. He is to answer the charge in Adams Town Court.

Massena woman accused

of menacing after dispute

MASSENA — Tina M. White, 42, of 35 Kennedy Court, Massena, was charged with two counts of menacing and one count of criminal mischief Friday night following a domestic dispute at her home, according to village police.
