MASSENA — A Louisville man is accused of trying to run over his brother, who was riding an all-terrain vehicle, with a recreational vehicle.

Douglas C. Kerr, 51, of 1068 County Route 36, was charged Sunday with first-degree reckless endangerment, state police investigators said. He is accused of attempting to run over Michael Kerr using a recreational vehicle around 3:45 p.m. at Oliver Road and County Route 39.

When troopers visited Douglas' home to arrest him early Monday, they noticed marijuana plants growing inside. A search warrant executed by state police found numerous marijuana plants around the home.

Douglas Kerr also was charged Monday with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana for reportedly having more than 10 pounds of pot. He was arraigned in Massena Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bail bond.
