Karen L. Shanahan, 66, Austin, Texas, formerly of Fayetteville, died Monday at Compassionate Care Hospice Center, Pittsburgh, Pa., after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer.

Among her survivors are a son and his wife, Patrick and Kelly Shanahan of Watertown.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in DeWitt.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville.
