POTSDAM — Cortney Poirier scored 15 points and Rachel Graf added 14 points to lead the SUNY Potsdam women's basketball team to a 50-43 win over St. Lawrence University Tuesday.

Kelsey Shoen grabbed 13 rebounds for the Bears (2-1). Katie Palmer scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Saints (1-2).

CLARKSON 60, SUNY PLATTSBURGH 57

Carey Turner scored 18 points and added seven assists to lead Clarkson past the Cardinals (1-3) in Plattsburgh.

Lauren Pluchino added 17 points and Michelle Reddinger 10 for Clarkson (3-1).

MEN'S BASKETBALL

ST. LAWRENCE 84, MIDDLEBURY 71

Richard Williams scored 27 points as the Saints (2-1) beat Middlebury in a nonleague game in Canton.

Tom Wopperer and Garrett Sharlow each contributed 12 points and Sharlow also grabbed 13 rebounds for SLU.

Jamal Davis led Middlebury (4-2) with 21 points.

CLARKSON 59, SUNY PLATTSBURGH 58

Clarkson's Elson Pickering scored the go-ahead basket with 1 minute, 36 seconds remaining, then made a steal with five seconds left to clinch a nonconference win in Plattsburgh.

Brandon Linton scored 18 points and Felix Llanos added 14 for Clarkson. Chris Ruiz led Plattsburgh (2-2) with 25 points.
