TURIN — The South Lewis Central School District Board on Tuesday night chose the principal of two of its elementary schools to be the next district superintendent.
The Board of Education accepted the retirement of Frank C. House, who has served as superintendent for nearly nine years, and selected Douglas E. Premo as his replacement. Mr. Premo is principal at Port Leyden and Constableville elementary schools.
Mr. House was appointed superintendent in October 1999 and started work here in December of that year following the July resignation of then-Superintendent Marilyn C. Terranova. He previously served as executive director of instructional support at Oswego County Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
