SYRACUSE— Oakland will make its first-ever appearance on the Syracuse men's basketball schedule this winter. The Orange will take on the Grizzlies on Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The two squads have not met previously.

Oakland was 17-14 overall a season ago. The Grizzlies, members of The Summit League, defeated Western Illinois in the conference tournament before losing to Indiana-Purdue at Indianapolis in the semifinals. A season highlight came when Oakland defeated then No. 23 Oregon State on Dec. 22, marking its first triumph over a ranked foe during its time as a Division I member.
