Orange men to play 2 November exhibitions

SYRACUSE — The Syracuse University men's basketball team will open its season with two exhibition games against Division II schools, the university announced Monday.

Cal State-Los Angeles visits the dome for a 7 p.m. game Nov. 3, and the Orange also hosts Indiana-Pennsylvania at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9.

Former Syracuse player Stephen Thompson coaches the Cal State-Los Angeles team that finished the 2007-08 season 17-11. The teams also played an exhibition, which Syracuse won 99-51, in 2006.
