HOGANSBURG — Pamela Brown was elected Saturday as the St. Regis Mohawk tribe's new sub-chief, a three-year position, according to unofficial results.
Approximately 325 ballots were cast, with Ms. Brown receiving 101 votes to narrowly defeat Agatha Thompson, who got 98 votes.
Brendan White, Wade James McDonald and Hollis White also ran for sub-chief.
The tribe could not say when results would be made official.
