PHILADELPHIA — Two women were taken to Carthage Area Hospital on Monday night for treatment of minor smoke inhalation they suffered in an electrical fire here.
Their identities were not disclosed.
Glenn W. Morrison, county director of fire and emergency management, said the blaze developed in the wall of a single-story modular home owned by Victor R. Delles Jr., 30959 County Route 30. Flames spread into the attic before being confined by Philadelphia, Evans Mills and Antwerp firefighters. Damage was concentrated in a small section of the dwelling.
Ambulances from Philadelphia, Evans Mills and Black River responded to the 7:31 p.m. alarm.
Four people were in the house when the fire erupted, Mr. Morrison said.
