NYPA offering free movie screenings

MASSENA — The New York Power Authority will continue to screen free, family-friendly films every Tuesday this month as part of its "Beat the Heat" campaign. The films will be shown at the Frank S. McCullough Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch.

The schedule of films is:

Today: "College Road Trip," 10 a.m.; "Open Season," 1 p.m.: "Dr. Dolittle," 3 p.m.; "Glory Road," 5 p.m.

Aug. 12: "Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl," 10 a.m.; "Eight Below," 1 p.m.; "Twitches Too," 3 p.m.; "Everyone's Hero," 5 p.m.

Aug. 19: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," 10 a.m.; "Unaccompanied Minors," 1 p.m.; "Star Wars IV: A New Hope," 3 p.m.; "Underdog," 5 p.m.

Aug. 26: " Shrek the Third," 10 a.m.; "The Retrievers," 1 p.m.; "Wallace and Grommet," 3 p.m.; "Akeelah and the Bee," 5 p.m.
