CHAUMONT — Mr. and Mrs. John Sharlow, 11178 Barnes Bay Road, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at All Saints Catholic Church and sharing a breakfast buffet with family and friends at the parish center on July 5.
Mr. Sharlow, son of the late Charles and Anne Sharlow, and Julie E. Thomas, daughter of Keith and Annis Thomas, 207 Bayard St., Sackets Harbor, were married July 2, 1983, at Black River United Methodist Church with the Revs. Timothy J. Soucy and Arland Rees officiating.
Honor attendants were Thomas Sharlow, Albany, brother of the bridegroom, and the late Terry Weber.
Mr. Sharlow served in the Navy and is a graduate of Jefferson Community College, Watertown. He is a self-employed contractor.
He enjoys boating.
Mrs. Sharlow graduated from Carthage High School and received bachelor's and master's degrees in education from SUNY Geneseo. She is a resource room teacher at Watertown High School. She previously taught at Cato-Meridian High School, Cato, and Beaver River High School, Beaver Falls.
She enjoys reading and scrapbooking.
The couple has a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Jenna Sharlow, both at home.
