Watertown, Lisbon men

jailed on drug charges

OGDENSBURG — The city of Ogdensburg Police Department arrested Michael R. Robinson, 24, of 328 Clay St., Watertown, and Brook J. Wilson, 21, of 56 Sparrowhawk Point Road, Lisbon, on Thursday on felony charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police were responding to a complaint of a quarrel on Washington Street. Several vehicles were stopped by police, who said they found crack cocaine in Mr. Robinson's vehicle with the assistance of the state Division of Parole in Jefferson County.

Mr. Robinson and Mr. Wilson were sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, with bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond and $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond, respectively.

Norfolk resident accused

of taking trailer items

NORFOLK — A Norfolk man is to appear Wednesday in Norfolk Town Court on a petit-larceny charge.

Henry E.M. Meddley, 22, of 59 S. Main St., Lot 25, was accused by St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies of stealing copper tubing, a stove and a refrigerator from a trailer he was cleaning.

Motorcyclist is injured

in Interstate 81 accident

ELLISBURG — Floyd R. Hettis, 57, Norfolk, was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, by the South Jefferson Ambulance squad Friday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle while traveling south on Interstate 81.

Responding to the scene were Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies and Adams Fire Department.

Man accused of having

unstamped cigarettes

LISBON — An Ogdensburg man was charged by St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies Friday with having unstamped cigarettes.

Marc E. Asbury, 41, of 1100 Mechanic St., had 20,100 unstamped cigarettes when stopped on Route 68 in the town of Lisbon, police said. He is to appear in Lisbon Town Court.

West Carthage brothers

are sent to jail after fight

WEST CARTHAGE — Two teenage brothers were placed in jail Wednesday night after they got into a fight in their home, according to state police.

Dwight E. Wilkinson, 18, and Tyler J. Wilkinson, 16, were shouting profanities and threats at each other when a trooper arrived at their 12 Liberty St. home shortly before 6:30 p.m., police said. They both were charged with disorderly conduct and were brought before Village Justice Delmar House.

With bail set for each at $250, they were driven to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown.

Dwight was bailed out at 10 p.m. Wednesday and his brother Thursday night.

Potsdam teen injures arm

when thrown from ATV

POTSDAM — A Potsdam teenager was injured Thursday in an all-terrain-vehicle accident.

St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said David Johnson, 300 Heath Road, was thrown off as the ATV skidded sideways and overturned when he tried to stop while driving on private property.

He was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for treatment of arm pain.
