The first meeting of a local muscular dystrophy support group will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at Northern Regional Center for Independent Living, 210 Court St., Suite 107.

Those interested in participating should call the Syracuse Muscular Dystrophy Association office at 788-2017 by Aug. 7, and ask for Kelly Steenburgh.

Those who cannot attend the meeting are asked to call the office to suggest future meeting dates and times.
