Republican David A. Renzi was endorsed Wednesday by the Independence and Conservative parties in the 48th Senate District race.

Mr. Renzi, a Watertown attorney, is challenging Sen. Darrel J. Aubertine, D-Cape Vincent.

"The warm welcome and strong support I have received in communities across Northern and Central New York convince me that voters are ready for a change and a candidate with strength and commitment to represent their common sense values and concerns," Mr. Renzi said in a press release.

The 48th Senate District includes Jefferson, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties.
