FORT DRUM — Two Fort Drum officers and three officers formerly stationed here have been nominated for promotions.

Col. Kevin W. Mangum, the senior commander at Fort Drum, and Col. Jefforey A. Smith, the assistant division commander with the 10th Mountain Division/Multinational Division-Center have both been nominated for promotion to brigadier general.

Col. Jeffrey J. Snow, a former commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, Col. Stephen J. Townsend, former commander of 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, and Col. Gregg C. Potter, a former 10th Mountain Division commander, have all also been nominated for promotion to brigadier general.
