The Syracuse University men's basketball team will play home and away games against Georgetown, Villanova and Rutgers as the Big East Conference schedule was released Wednesday.

While dates and times for conference games are expected to be announced in September, the Orange does know it will also host Cincinnati, DePaul, Louisville, Notre Dame, Seton Hall and West Virginia for Big East games at the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse will play the remainder of its conference games on the road, at Connecticut, Marquette, Pittsburgh, Providence, St. John's and the University of South Florida. More information is available at www.suathletics.com.

■ The Syracuse Orange's Aug. 30 football opener will be televised live at noon on ESPN of ESPN2, the school has announced.

The Orange open the 2008 season against Northwestern at Evanston, Ill. It will be the first meeting between the teams since 1984.
