MASSENA — Dorine E. Marashian, 76, of 24 Cline Drive, formerly of Beach Street, died Wednesday morning at her home.

Mrs. Marashian was a homemaker and once was employed at Bell Telephone, Cornwall.

Born Aug. 7, 1931, in Cornwall, Ontario, the daughter of Lionel and Alice Pilon Poirier, she attended schools in Cornwall.

She married John Marashian on June 28, 1953, in Massena. The couple made their home in Massena. Mr. Marashian died Feb. 9, 1998.

Mrs. Marashian enjoyed traveling.

Surviving are a son, Steven, and his companion, Karen Pichette, Massena; a daughter, Pam Downey, Massena; a brother, Rene Poirier, Cornwall; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Blanche Julien and Beatrice Phillips, and three brothers, Clarence, Hormidas and Harvey Poirier, died before her.

The funeral and calling hours will be private. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Area 2. Arrangements are with Donaldson Funeral Home. Condolences may be made online at www.donaldsonfh.com.
