LOUISVILLE — Lorraine J. "Lori" Hotte, 64, of 14384 Route 37, died Tuesday at her home, under the care of her family and Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.

Mrs. Hotte was employed for 23 years in the activities department at St. Regis Nursing Home.

Born Dec. 3, 1943, in Northfield, Mass., daughter of Floyd and Florence Downs Lanphear, she had special training in teaching Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

Mrs. Hotte was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and was active in church programs at St. Vincent de Paul, such as Pre-Cana, Cursillo and marriage encounter. She enjoyed painting landscapes.

Surviving are her husband, James; three daughters and their husbands, Tina and Larry McClintock, Winchester, Va., Cynthia and Henry McGee, Lumberton, N.C., and Racheal and Melvin Wright, Windermere, Fla.; a son, John, and his fiancée, Diane Carter, Massena; two sisters, Pauline Smith, New Caney, Texas, and Priscilla Schepis, Medina; a brother, Sam Lanphear, Massena, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Royce and Roger Lanphear, died before her.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, Massena, with the Rev. Donald J. Manfred officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Memorial Home, Massena.
