POTSDAM — A joint memorial service for Dorothy E. Whitman Elliott, 81, and Donald J. Elliott, longtime residents of Potsdam, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church. A joint graveside service will follow in Bayside Cemetery.

Mrs. Elliott, a former director of nursing at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, died Nov. 11 at Sunrise Assisted Living Facility, Malvern, Pa. Mr. Elliott, a former postmaster of the Potsdam post office, died April 13, 1983, in Hudson, Fla., where the couple lived after retirement. A funeral was held in Spring Hill, Fla., at the time of his death.

Mr. and Mrs. Elliott were married Dec. 18, 1944, in Cheltenham, England, where both were serving in the Army during World War II. Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home.
