MASSENA — Marion E. Nagy, 96, of 2 Medina St., died Saturday afternoon at St. Regis Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since Dec. 18, after suffering a fall Dec. 9.

Mrs. Nagy was a homemaker. She had been an office manager from 1931 to 1934 at Carthage Paper Makers and a law clerk at a law office in Carthage.

Born Oct. 12, 1911, in Syracuse, daughter of Bert W. and Mary Egan Thomas, she graduated from Carthage High School and Deibert's Business School, Philadelphia.

She married Louis M. Nagy on Feb. 12, 1934, at St. Mary's Church, Carthage. He died July 22, 1982.

Mrs. Nagy enjoyed her home and assisting those in need. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where she prepared the altar linens and volunteered for many years.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Louis M. Jr. and Violet, Baldwinsville; three daughters and their husbands, Mary Ellen and Rene Gibeault, Massena, Edith Ann and David Jacques, Superior Township, Mich., and Betty Jane and William Holbrook, Huntsville, Ala.; a sister and her husband, Gertrude and Michael Amrich, Hollywood, Fla.; a brother and his wife, Francis and Norma Thomas, Colton and Florida; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A sister, Ethel Baxter, died in 1961, and a brother, Delbert Thomas, died Nov. 20.

A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jack L. Down, retired pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements are with Donaldson Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
