HERMON — Nancy M. Goodale, 85, Hermon, died Saturday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam.

Mrs. Goodale farmed with her husband and worked and lived with Marion Reed, Hermon, after his death.

Born Feb. 3, 1923, in Fine, daughter of Arthur J. and Florence M. Strate Forbes, she attended Hermon schools.

She married Everett J. Goodale on April 20, 1946, in Edwards. He died Oct. 31, 1979.

Mrs. Goodale enjoyed needlework, crocheting, cooking and baking.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Gerald and Patti, Theresa, and Daniel and Tammy, Gouverneur; two daughters and their husbands, Roselyn and Richard Briggs, Hermon, and Roxanna and Weldon Noble, DeKalb; three sisters, Bernice Davenport, Philadelphia, Luella Stevens, Antwerp, and Thelma Briggs, Hermon, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Three sons, Howard Goodelle, Harvey Forbes and Everett Floyd Goodale, a daughter, Romona N. Klock, a brother, Vernon Forbes, and a granddaughter died before her.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur, with the Rev. William G. Hart, pastor of Hermon United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Edwards.

Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
