OGDENSBURG — A graveside service for Frances E. McCready Perry LaRock, 91, formerly of Canton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Morley Cemetery with the Rev. James M. Brand officiating.

She died June 1 at United Helpers Nursing Home, where she had been a resident since December. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton.

Mrs. LaRock was a nurse for the St. Lawrence County Home, Canton, for many years.

Born March 30, 1917, in Lisbon, daughter of Anna and Aaron McCready, she graduated from Lisbon School and Ogdensburg Business School.

She married William Perry on April 12, 1936. He died May 16, 1957. She married Walter LaRock in December 1959. He died in 1990.

She moved to Florida in the 1970s, returning in 2004 to Canton, where she resided at Spicer Adult Home and eventually United Helpers. She enjoyed playing bingo, oil painting and doing seamstress work for others.

Surviving are a son, Joel Perry, Morley; two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and two nieces.

Two sisters, Ethel Scott and Vaughn Todd, died before her.
