Funeral services for Stefania Senk, 95, Watertown, will be private.

Mrs. Senk died Friday morning at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Robert "Jeff" Dawley, 437 Paddock St., where she had lived since 2006.

Arrangements are with TLC Funeral Home.

Mrs. Senk had worked in several factories in the Little Falls area before moving to Newport to operate a dairy farm.

Born Feb. 21, 1913, in Poland, daughter of John and Rose Gwoz Furtak, she attended school in Poland.

She married John Senk on Nov. 10, 1936. The couple moved to the United States in 1939 and lived in Little Falls until purchasing a farm in Newport in 1953. Mr. Senk died in 1979 and Mrs. Senk continued to operate the farm until 1986. She moved to Watertown and resided at Angel's Inn until moving to the home of her daughter and son-in-law.

Surviving besides the Dawleys are a son and his wife, Stefan Edward and Joanne, Waldorf, Md.; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Kristin, died at birth. Four brothers, Ignatz, Stanley, John and Vincent Furtak, and three sisters, Antosha and Mary Furtak and Agnes Przydatek, also died before her.

In place of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
