DEXTER — Rosemary LaFex, 88, County Route 59, died Friday afternoon at Carthage Area Hospital Skilled Nursing Center, where she had been a patient for the past two months.
Mrs. LaFex was employed for 20 years by Olga Knitting Mill and then for 15 years by Gould Inc., both formerly of Watertown, retiring in 1983.
Born May 4, 1920, in Watertown, daughter of Gerald and Eva Minkler Traynor, she graduated from Watertown High School.
She married Donald A. LaFex on April 27, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church in Watertown. He died Feb. 23.
Surviving are two sons, James H., Cape Vincent, and Francis J., address unknown; a daughter, Judith A. Sawyer, Dexter; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Elizabeth Gilbo, died before her.
There will be no funeral or calling hours.
The body will be cremated. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home.
