WEST CARTHAGE — The funeral for David S. Lacey, 49, Champion Heights Apartments, formerly of Lowville, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Iseneker Funeral Home, 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, with the Rev. Bruce W. Chapman, retired Methodist minister, officiating.
Burial will be in West Lowville Rural Cemetery.
A gathering will follow at Lowville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6912, West State Street, Lowville.
Mr. Lacey died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. An autopsy was performed Saturday in Syracuse. The cause of death is pending the results. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lacey worked at P&C Foods, Lowville, during high school and continued to work there for more than 20 years, retiring due to illness.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR and World Wrestling Entertainment events.
Born Nov. 14, 1958, in Lowville, son of Orville F. and Elizabeth J. Rowsam Lacey, he graduated from Lowville Academy in 1978.
He married Frances M. Main on April 7, 1979, in Lowville. The marriage ended in divorce.
Surviving are a son and his fiancée, Jason Lacey and Amber Baker, West Carthage; a daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Chad Murphy, Lowville; his mother, Elizabeth Lacey, Lowville; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy and John Waligory, Lowville, Deborah and James Burnett, Cape Coral, Fla., and Tammy Lacey, Watertown; three grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His father died Jan. 16, 2006. A brother, Gary Michael Lacey, died at birth, and a granddaughter died Nov. 25.
