BRASHER FALLS — John F. "Jack" LaBrake, 70, Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of Brasher Falls and Pulaski, died June 6 in a Fort Pierce hospital.
Mr. LaBrake was a meat cutter for many years and most recently operated a lawn care business in the Fort Pierce area.
Born April 23, 1938, in Stockholm, son of Philip and Pauline LaBrake, he graduated from St. Lawrence Central School in 1958.
A marriage to Dorothy Cook ended in divorce.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Shane and his fiancée, Kirsten Watts, Accokeek, Md., and Stephen and Kimberly, Bethlehem, Pa.; two daughters and their husbands, Mary and Elton Harper, Section, Ala., and Beth and Matt Janowsky, Ithaca; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jean Myers, Schuylerville, and Donna and Roy LaVack, Fort Pierce; two bothers and a sister-in-law, Richard and Julie, Newark, Ohio, and Thomas, Rensselaer Falls; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
An older brother, Fred, died before him.
A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Brasher Falls. Local arrangements are with Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop.
In place of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice.
