MORRISTOWN — The funeral for Marc Anthony Thibert, 26, Northumberland Street, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Church with the Rev. Douglas J. Lucia and Monsignor Harry K. Snow officiating.
Mr. Thibert died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday at his home.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.
Mr. Thibert had been employed for the past three years in his father's contracting business, Kevin Thibert Construction of Morristown.
He was a member of the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Born July 2, 1981, in Ogdensburg, son of Kevin and Carolyn Hall Thibert, he graduated from Morristown Central School in 2000 and enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served for five years. He was a heavy-equipment diesel mechanic in the corps and was discharged with the rank of sergeant, having served in Kuwait and Iraq.
Surviving besides his parents, of Morristown, are a brother, Gregory, Morristown; his paternal grandmother, Norma Jean Davis, Black Lake; his paternal stepgrandfather, Lionel Bailey, Heuvelton; his maternal grandparents, William and Billie Hall, San Diego, Calif.; four uncles, three aunts and several cousins.
